Health insurance hospitals hit hard Political situation affecting major projects

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 7: The messy political situation in the country, as a result of the activities of some lawmakers, is playing havoc with some major development projects, as some well-known companies have declined participation in establishing the health insurance hospitals-except for Agility, reports Al-Shahid daily.
A source disclosed the estimated profit from bidding in the health insurance project was affected due to lack of participation by the companies.
He stressed that health insurance hospitals are at the forefront of providing ideal medical care for citizens and expatriates to relieve the public hospitals of a lot of burdens.
He reiterated that a lack of competition in bidding for implementation of the project had left one company the sole bidder.
He affirmed that development is impossible without cooperation among the legislative and executive bodies. He added that Kuwait has lost about 300 million dinars that would have been garnered through various projects.
