Liquor, drugs found with 2 drunk Kuwaitis in Hawalli Asian held with heroin
KUWAIT CITY, Dec 5: Securitymen arrested two Kuwaitis, in their 40s, for consuming alcohol with a bottle of local liquor and a roll of hashish in their possession.
While on duty in Hawalli, the securitymen noticed the erratic movement of a vehicle, so they signaled for the driver to pull over. When the officers demanded the identification documents of the driver and his companion – both Kuwaitis – they realized the two were under the influence of alcohol. This was followed by a thorough search of the car, leading to the discovery of a bottle of local alcohol and a roll of hashish.
Asian arrested: An Asian man was arrested in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh for the possession of four bottles of local alcohol and three grams of heroin.
Securitymen on duty in the area stopped the Asian for routine inspection. When the officers checked the contents of the carton he was carrying, they found four bottles of locally brewed alcohol and three grams of heroin. He was then referred to the concerned security department for interrogation and other legal action.
Liquor seized: Three unidentified men were arrested in Salmiya for consuming alcohol with three bottles of liquor in their possession.
When the suspects reached a checkpoint in the area, the securitymen noticed their confused state after asking them to present their identification documents. The officers then realized the three were under the influence of alcohol, so the car was searched thoroughly. This led to the discovery of three bottles of liquor.
A case was registered against the three men and they have been referred to the relevant security department for prosecution.
Thief arrested: A Kuwaiti citizen who raided a pharmacy shop in Fahaheel area late at night and made away with KD 300 cash was arrested few hours after the pharmacist had reported the incident to policemen and given his details – including the registration number of his vehicle.
The citizen admitted the crime during interrogation and noted he was under the influence of liquor at the time of robbery and couldn’t control himself. Also, officers discovered he hasn’t been involved in previous criminal offenses and his file was clean. The suspect was later referred to the relevant authority for further investigation.
Absconder nabbed: Hawalli securitymen arrested a Kuwaiti man, in his 30s, for his involvement in a financial case.
While patrolling in Salmiya, the securitymen asked the Kuwaiti to present his identification documents for routine inspection. They were surprised when they discovered he is wanted by law for swindling an unidentified person to the tune of KD 5,000. He was referred to the concerned security department for the necessary legal action.
Car stolen from parking: An Egyptian has lodged a complaint with police that his vehicle was stolen from a parking area in Salhiya.
The complainant told police he was shocked when he did not find his car in the parking area. He provided the officers with a detailed description of the vehicle, including the plate number, and copies of which have been distributed to various security checkpoints to ease the recovery process and to arrest the thief.
Mobile phone stolen: A Kuwaiti has reported that an unknown person stole his mobile phone from his car in Salhiya.
The Kuwaiti informed police he was dismayed when he could not find his mobile phone, which he left in his car that was parked in the area. Securitymen lifted fingerprints to identify the thief.
A case was registered and investigations are ongoing to arrest the culprit.
Stolen car found: A stolen vehicle was recovered recently in Farwaniya by a patrol team.
While patrolling the area, the police officers noticed a vehicle parked on a vacant lot, so they checked its details in the security database. To their surprise, the officers found out the vehicle was reported stolen some days ago. Investigations are underway to identify the thief.
