Classy Worley Parsons win overall title Wataniya Telecom, Hankook Tires complete podium

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 5:There was never any doubt right from the first week that Worley Parsons Resources&Energy were the best team in the 22nd Filipino Badminton Association in Ahmadi (FBAA) 6th Hankook Tires Cup “3 Weeks Open Doubles Tournament” and they proved everyone right by taking the overall title in Fahaheel Friday.
Worley Parsons Resources&Energy showed their class by finishing the event at the top of the standings with 98 match wins and 283 points while Wataniya Telecom finished 1st runners-up with 81 wins and 253 points; Hankook Tires 2nd runners-up with 74 wins and 214 points; Bhasin Co 3rd runners-up with 70 wins and 214 points, and holding up the table in the last spot were Western Union Money Transfer with 67 wins and 206 points.
The match wins were the first consideration for the positions and in case of a tie the points were to be considered because a team could win fewer matches and yet have more points — as a match win in two sets brought three points with none for the loser while a game which went to three sets brought two points for the winner and one for the loser.
