Court acquits youth in stabbing of his compatriot Victim withdraws charges

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 3: The Juvenile Criminal Court acquitted a youth of stabbing a compatriot after the Public Prosecution had charged the suspect of deliberately stabbing the victim with a knife, as indicated in forensic reports. The accusation attracted strict penalty if the suspect was found guilty.
The defense counsel Khalid Al-Saadi argued that the victim was responsible for his own ordeal, as he was the one who first attacked with a knife and ended up wounding himself with it. He also said there is no case because the victim has already withdrawn all charges.

Verdict upheld: The Appeals Court upheld the decision of a lower that ordered a general trading company to pay KD 11,000 to a specific company for building and construction.
Case files indicate that the complainant supplied sanitary ware worth KD 25,000 to the defendant and both parties agreed that the bill should be paid in installment, but the defendant defaulted in paying about KD 11,000 and the complainant consequently filed a lawsuit to claim the money.
