2 torture Egyptian for failing to pay ‘royalty’ to woman sponsor
KUWAIT CITY, Dec 2: Four people - two women, a Kuwaiti and an Egyptian and two men, a Syrian and an Egyptian - have been referred to the Public Prosecution for kidnapping and torturing an Egyptian man, reports Al-Anba daily.
According to initial investigations the Kuwaiti woman owns a general trading and contracting company.
She uses the company to recruiting marginal workers, brings them into the country and then leaves them to their fate but they are required to pay royalty for the company every year.
The investigations also show the Egyptians and the Syrian are partners in human trafficking.
Security sources said the crime came to light when the Hawalli police during routine patrol of the area heard someone screaming.
They saw the victim was seating between two men (the Egyptian and the Syrian) and he had torture marks on his body.
It was evident he was given electric shock.
During interrogation he told police the men came to his room and dragged him to their car and began torturing him because he had failed to pay ‘royalty’ to the company.
During interrogations with the two men police discovered the truth and took the two women for interrogation.
