Housewives, with school-going children can apply for driving license

My wife is a housewife. Can she apply for a driving licence because our children go to school? She used to be a staff nurse.

Name withheld

Answer
: Yes, she can. Housewives, with school-going children, are among those who have been exempted from various conditions set for expatriates to get a driving license.

I have been in Kuwait for over a year and am employed in a very good company. I am a university graduate and earning over KD 1,000 monthly. Can I get a driving licence?

Name withheld

Answer:
No, you can’t because you must meet all the following three conditions:
1. Must have been in Kuwait for at least two years at the time of application.
2. Must have a university degree.
3. Must have earning at least KD 400.
You meet only two of these conditions so you can’t get a licence because you have been in the country for one year only.

try ur luckSrivi | 11/28/2011 11:02:37 PM A nurse is in exempted category. Try ur luck. But, the husband should be eligible to fulfil the above terms and conditions, then she can apply as a housewife. Attach children civil id and school certificate as additional evidence to approve the application.
