KUWAIT CITY, Nov 27: The Jahra police have arrested an unidentified youth for beating his mother, threatening to kill her and throwing her out of the house. The incident happened in the early hours of the cold winter morning, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to reports the woman, who found herself in the open, cold wind beating on her, went to the Waha Police Station and filed a complaint against her son.
Police took the son into custody one hour after the complaint was filed. At the time of arrest the son was under the influence of drugs.
Two cases of threatening to kill his mother and consuming drugs have been registered against the son.

10 for deportation: The Jahra police during a crackdown on residence law violators are said to have arrested 10 people and referred them to the authorities, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The violators were arrested in Hassawi and Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh. Steps are being taken by the concerned authorities to deport them from the country.

Maid injured: Acting on information, firemen rushed to home of the son of a prominent Kuwaiti actor Ahmad Al-Saleh in Hitteen and put out fire in the kitchen before it spread to the entire house, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The Asian housemaid working for the household was taken to a hospital for treatment from asphyxiation. The cause of the fire is not known.
