Indian bus driver stabbed in standoff over fare
KUWAIT CITY, Nov 27: Police are looking for four unidentified youths for stabbing an Indian driver of a public transport bus, reports Al-Anba daily.
The incident happened when the youths refused to pay the bus fare and the driver refused to drive on. At this point one of the youths pulled out a knife, stabbed the driver and all of them escaped.
The driver has been admitted to the Adan Hospital.
Drug peddlers held: Police have arrested three Arab youths for trafficking in narcotics, reports Al-Anba daily.
The daily quoting security sources said police acting on information sent a police agent to buy some narcotic pills and caught him red-handed in possession of 20 pills.
During interrogation he admitted to trafficking in drugs and led police to his Egyptian supplier in Farwaniya. Police raided the man’s house and seized a piece of hashish and a quantity of narcotic pills.
Police arrested the third accomplice in Salmiya. It has been reported police have seized a total of 650 narcotic pills from the three traffickers and referred them to the authorities.
Drugs seized: The Hawalli police have arrested four youths — three of them Kuwaitis and a Jordanian — for possessing drugs, reports Al-Anba daily.
According to reports the suspects were arrested while driving on an unidentified road. Police have reportedly seized from the youths a piece of hashish and eight narcotic pills.
They have been referred to the General Department for Drugs Control.
