Arabic daily reporter assaulted Police refuse to register report

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 27: Policemen at Maidan Hawalli police station refused to register a case when a reporter of Al-Seyassah daily, Bilal, was beaten and severely injured by a Kuwaiti citizen.
According to sources, Bilal had been stopped by a Kuwaiti citizen named Adel, while he was driving on the Fourth Ring Road. Suddenly, the citizen began abusing Bilal when he alighted from the car. He went ahead and smashed the glass of the reporter’s vehicle, which resulted in injuries to various parts of his body and other bruises in the face.
Meanwhile, a passer-by managed to pull the citizen away, and the injured reporter rushed to Maidan Hawalli police station to file a complaint against the citizen but officers at the station refused, although he supported his claim with a medical report from the Mubarak Hospital. One officer had even abused the editor in-chief and employees of Al-Seyassah without any reason.
The reporter insists on fair dealing and appeals to the concerned officials in Ministry of Interior to intervene so that justice will be served.

Man killed:
  An individual died when a small boat he was racing with overturned on Belajat Beach.
A rescue team arrived at the scene and searched for the body, which has since been referred to Forensics for autopsy. A case was registered.

7 hurt in fight: Seven people were injured when four citizens and seven Egyptians working at a restaurant in Souk Mubarakiya engaged in a fierce fight using chairs and sharp objects.
Acting on information, a rescue team was deployed to the scene, and the injured people were referred to the Amiri Hospital for medical attention while the others fighters were taken to the Salhiya police station. A case was registered.
