MP plans to submit grillings against interior, oil ministers Govt committing serious int’l crime: Tabtabaei
KUWAIT CITY, Nov 27: MP Hassan Jowhar is planning to submit interpellations against Deputy Premier, Minister of Interior Sheikh Ahmad Al-Humoud and Minister of Oil, State Minister for National Assembly Affairs Mohammad Al-Busairi, reports Al-Shahed daily.
Jowhar said he will submit the interpellation requests after the grilling of the prime minister over the multimillion dinar deposit case on Tuesday.
The lawmaker said his grilling against the deputy premier will focus on the detention of Twitter users, irregularities in granting admission in the Saad Abdallah Academy for Security Sciences and the Bedouns issue.
Jowhar said his grilling against Al-Busairi will focus on serious manipulations in appointments at senior positions and lack of job opportunities for Kuwaitis in the petroleum sector.
Crime
Meanwhile, MP Dr Waleed Tabtabaei was recently quoted as saying “the government of Kuwait is committing a serious international crime that will harm the credibility of the State because of its connivance and complicity with the Kuwaiti MP who provides Iran with the pre-requisites for the benefit of its nuclear program,” reports Al-Jaridah daily.
The daily added the MP has posted the statement on his Twitter website. This came in response to the recent news report about the involvement of one of the MPs from the First Constituency in money laundering operations in support of the Iranian nuclear program.
MP Mohammed Hayef has also commented on this news report saying the reign of His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah has been chaotic because he has failed to apply local and international laws.
MP Hayef has called upon the Attorney-General and the State Security system to be transparent when dealing with this issue. He also said the government has an obligation to disclose the names of parties involved so that legal action can be taken against the guilty.
In the meantime, businessman Saud Sahoud is ready to buy a hammer for the Speaker of Parliament and renovate the damage resulting from recent invasion of the parliament building and calls for release of the suspects in detention, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
Likewise, Dr Jassem Mohalal has urged Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah to release the youth protesters arrested in connection with the storming of Abdullah Al-Salem Hall, the daily added.
