Employee accused of stealing KD 1,500; soccer fans clash

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 25: Supporters of two European football clubs were involved in a fierce fight while watching a soccer match inside a café in Hawalli, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to eyewitness reports two groups of youths - supporting opposing soccer teams were involved in an argument which soon turned into personal insults.
Following this they fought and even hurled chairs at each other. This prompted the restaurant workers to call the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior.
Some troublemakers have been arrested and the injured have been referred to a hospital.

KD 1,500 stolen from shop: A Kuwaiti man, whose identity has not been disclosed, has filed a complaint with the Sharq Police Station accusing a Pakistani employee of his shop of stealing KD 1,500, reports Alam Alyawm daily.
In his complaint to the police the man said the theft was discovered by the auditors. However, when he asked the employee for an explanation, he denied taking the money.
Police will summon the employee for interrogation.

Mobile ‘shops’ targeted: The Jahra Security Directorate in coordination with the Jahra Traffic Department recently organized a crackdown on mobile grocery shops along the Salmi Road and in Amghara and referred the Asian grocery owners to the concerned authorities and towed their shops to the General Traffic Department garage, reports Al-Anba daily.
According to security source most of these grocery owners are residence law violators.
During the campaign the police have also issued citations against 35 motorists for committing safety and security violations.
