Man kills wife’s paramour Witnesses called
KUWAIT CITY, Nov 24: The Criminal Court has summoned witnesses and forensics experts from the Interior Ministry to shed light on the case of an army officer accused of killing an unidentified man in Abdullah Al-Mubarak.
Case files indicate that on the day of the killing, the officer, aged 27, returned home unexpectedly at around 9:00 am due to stress at work. When he entered his house, he was surprised as he saw a man, aged 34, coming out of his room.
Blinded by fury, the officer beat the man until he fell on the floor. After that, he went to the kitchen, took a knife and stabbed the man to death. When he calmed down, he called the police and turned himself in.
It has been reported his wife, aged 24, locked herself inside a room when he beat and stabbed the man.
Ruling upheld: The Court of Appeals, presided over by Judge Anwar Al-Enezi, upheld the ruling of the First Instance Court, which had previously refrained from imposing a sentence on an unidentified man accused of trying to kill another.
The Public Prosecution had charged the suspect with attempted murder as he was allegedly seen driving fast towards the victim in what seemed to be an attempt to kill the latter.
Attorney Faisal Saqer Al-Rasheedi, lawyer for the accused, argued in court that the plaintiff fabricated the case. He said his client was walking towards his car when the plaintiff assaulted him. He added the plaintiff made up the story to prevent his client from filing a case against the former for assaulting him.
