Bangladeshi beaten, bites off sponsor’s ear in retaliation
KUWAIT CITY, Nov 22: A Bangladeshi expatriate bit the ear of his Kuwaiti sponsor and cut off a part of it, reports Al-Shahed daily.
Sources say the Kuwaiti placed a distress call, following which patrols rushed to his house and learnt that the Kuwaiti had beaten the expatriate and he retaliated by biting off the former’s ear. A case has been registered at Jahra Police Station.
Suicide attempted: A 37-year-old Indian housemaid has been admitted to the Farwaniya Hospital following a void attempt to end her life by swallowing detergent inside the sponsor’s home in Andalus, reports Alam Alyawm daily. A case of suicide attempt has been registered. The daily did not give more details.
Pesticide injury: An Egyptian man who accidentally inhaled fumes emanating from a pesticide has been admitted to the Mubarak Al-Kabir Hospital, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
A case has been registered with the Maidan Hawalli Police Station. Police are investigating the incident.
