‘I took revenge’ - Ethiopian maid who murdered Kuwaiti woman

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 19: The Ethiopian maid who murdered a 25-year-old Kuwaiti woman, identified as Aisha Al-Failakawi, on Thursday re-enacted the crime in front of securitymen before she was referred to the public prosecution, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.

The maid said she committed the crime deliberately as she wanted to take revenge from the family for treating her badly and for threatening to send her back to her country.

The maid said she took advantage of the fact that the victim was sleeping and stabbed her several times and when the victim resisted, the Ethiopian said she slit the victim’s wrist and neck.

The maid added that she went to the roof of the house to hide the murder weapons and went to the airport. Securitymen had stopped her at the airport after noticing minor injuries marks on her body and arrested her as soon as the crime was reported.

Very Sad STEPHANIE DAVIS | 12/14/2011 12:50:56 PM This incident is very sad and SHOULD be a wake up call for all who mistreat anyone. Expats are always blamed for the host nation's misfortunes or for taking jobs, this will never change, but at the same time, it is definitely something that needs to be looked into and acknowledged by the Kuwait Government. I read 20 cases of abuse or either revenge in reference to Ethiopians in the Arab Times Online, makes you wonder where the "shame on you" should go too. "Expat treated badly because maybe she took someones job and lives in Kuwait?" Is that what it is all about? This is the reason why expats are mistreated? So sad that the result of this mistreatment ended in the death of a beautiful young woman. But for that Ethiopian woman, she didn 't just jump up and kill, cause and affect is the result. Such a brutal way for a family to lose a loved one.
Gone crazy, lost her mind.deep grudge.Erma Gaborno | 12/8/2011 5:16:15 PM Anyone who does a horrifying crime is not in their best state of mind. But the question is: What made her do it?? Only God knows. I just want to make something clear. Not all Kuwaities are bad. I've been in Kuwait for 32 years, and I know loads of good mannered, educated Kuwaities.May the victim rest in peace, heartfelt condolences for the family.
as a human bieng selina | 12/7/2011 12:33:41 AM we can say whatever we want..... the family is good, educated and perfect family but who is she? why she is here? why she did that? does any body ask her?........ she is here to work so why she killed a women. If she wasn't abuse or mistreated she is a human being if she was fairly treated and respected as a human being she would respect them back and serve them nicely. @ JOHN DCRUZ. you don't even know how to spell her country name so how you dare to say something like that about the people ?

Julz Howard Jessica Fatimah | 11/23/2011 11:12:32 AM Dear don't forget who's country you’re in and please know that if you do not like it feel free to leave at anytime it's people like you that know nothing about Kuwaiti's but choose to speak so badly about Kuwaiti's . It’s expats like you that are treated badly because you take our jobs and live in this country but are so quick to betray it . Even if the maid was abused she has no right at all taking another human's life, but she wasn't abused if you ask about the family of the girl you will know they are a good and an educated family . I don't think it's Kuwaiti's that need the wakeup call I think it is people like you that make other expats look bad . Shame on you for even making up and excuse for someone to get away with murder . also please work on your spelling .. Bottom line Kuwait Love it or Leave it ..
She lost her mind:(Abigael Gaddi | 11/22/2011 10:22:41 AM I feel sorry for her , everything happen for a reason:( may the soul of the victim rest in peace.. I'll pray for both of them
