Kuwaiti pilgrim admits killing Saudi youth, re-enacts crime Iranian probed in funds scam

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 16: A Kuwaiti pilgrim admitted killing a Saudi Arabian youth and re-enacted the scene before a probe panel at the Public Investigation and Prosecution Commission in Makkah.
The culprit held a piece of cane instead of knife he used in killing the victim, while a cafeteria represented the shop from where the culprit purchased the knife. Also, Mu’aesim police station was selected as the open place where he had stabbed and killed the youth.
Eyewitnesses said the culprit was driving along a road when he provoked the victim and they exchanged blows, in the course of which the Kuwaiti rushed into a shop, bought a knife and stabbed the victim three times. Later, a volunteer assisted the culprit, as they rushed the victim to the King Faisal Hospital. The Kuwaiti is said to have escaped when he learnt the victim had died.

Iranian probed: An Iranian is under investigation on accusations of embezzling funds, based on lawsuit a Kuwaiti businessman filed against him in that regard.
According to the defendant attorney Abdulmohsen Al-Qattan, the Kuwaiti filed a complaint accusing his client of misappropriating funds meant for establishing a company in Marine Abadan region.  He explained his client is engaged with the complainant business wise, and they agreed to establish a freight company for import and export purposes in Marine Abadan region located on Iranian soil.
The attorney explained the Kuwaiti wanted to preside over the company but Iranian law doesn’t allow foreigners to own companies, so the defendant was made a board member. Al-Qattan affirmed the Iranian courts have already ruled in favor of his client, while other cases are yet to be looked into.
He suggested the case must be referred to the Experts Department to identify the nature of transaction and commercial relations between his client and the complainant, adding the Kuwaiti judiciary isn’t in the position to examine the lawsuit.
