Ministers named - Two take oath

 KUWAIT CITY, Nov 16, (KUNA): Newly-named ministers of information and communication performed the swearing-in protocol in the  presence of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah at Bayan Palace on Wednesday.
The Amir received, in the presence of HH the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, HH Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah who presented to Highness the Amir, Salem Al-Uthainah as the Minister of Electricity, Water and Minister of Communication, and Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah as Minister of Information.
Al-Uthainah, newly-named as the Minister of Communication, in addition to his other posts, and Sheikh Hamad Jaber were sworn in, in the presence of the Amir.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al-Sabah, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ali Fahad Al-Rashed, Cabinet Secretary General Abdul Latif Abdullah Al-Roudhan, Director of the HH Amir Bureau Ahmad Fahad Al-Fahad and Head of Amiri Protocols Sheikh Khaled Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah Al-Nasser Al-Sabah.
Sheikh Hamad thanked the Kuwaiti leadership for putting its trust in him, vowing that he will serve the country with utmost vigor and loyalty.
Speaking to the press after taking the oath, Sheikh Hamad said that he was looking forward to his upcoming duties as minister, affirming that the Ministry of Information was an integral part of the state’s governing mechanism.
Meanwhile, Secretary General of Kuwait Journalists Association (KJA) Faisal Al-Qinai lauded the appointment of Sheikh Hamad as Minister of Information.
He affirmed that choosing Sheikh Hamad was a wise choice on part of the leadership, wishing the newly-appointed minister all the luck in his upcoming duties.
