KUWAIT, Nov 16, (KUNA): Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs Dr Fadhel Safar affirmed Wednesday that the Municipal Council’s inspection teams were still active during the last Eid Al-Adha holidays, tracking down violators and issuing tickets.
Safar told KUNA that the teams continued their duties during the holidays in the nation’s six governorates to protect consumers from fraud and spoiled products.
The council’s teams would continue efforts to protect citizens, affirmed the minister.
The Municipal Council’s inspection teams have issued score of violation tickets against shops and street vendors with the violations ranging from selling expired food to the lack of sanitation procedures at a number of shops.
