Egyptian beats up two officers in police station Police round up 23 illegal Asians in Amghara swoop
KUWAIT CITY, Nov 15: Personnel from the General Immigration Department in cooperation with the Jahra security police have arrested 23 Asians for violating residence and labor laws, reports Al-Rai daily.
The daily added the suspects were arrested in Amghara. They have been referred to the concerned authorities.
Officers beaten: An Egyptian man who was taken to the Adailiya Police Station reportedly lost his temper and attacked two policemen on duty and punched one of them in the nose, reports Al-Shahed daily.
A police source said this happened when the man was handcuffed and taken to a police station for humiliating traffic police after he was issued a traffic citation.
When he was at the police station, the Egyptian allegedly requested the two policemen to remove his handcuffs and then attacked them.
A public prosecutor ordered the detention of all of them but later the policemen were released on bail.
The daily gave no other details.
