Bangladeshi expat stabbed, left to die
KUWAIT CITY, Nov 14: A Bangladeshi expatriate was stabbed and severely wounded in the abdomen by an unknown person in Farwaniya area.
Based on this report, paramedics accompanied securitymen to the scene, and referred the man who was bleeding profusely to the Farwaniya Hospital for emergency treatment. Investigation is ongoing to arrest the perpetrator.
Liquor seized: A motorist who tried to flee from the police was apprehended with 26 bottles of liquor in his possession. Apparently, patrolmen had noticed erratic manner by which his car was moving and stopped him for checking when the suspect tried to escape.
Sources said the officers chased and subsequently arrested him, as they conducted a search inside his car and found the contraband. He was sent to the relevant authority for necessary action.
Drugs with duo: Two youths were arrested by policemen in Khaitan area, as they were caught with an unspecified quantity of narcotics in their keep. The culprits have since been taken to Public Prosecution.
Meanwhile, security operatives nabbed a Kuwaiti citizen at a security checkpoint in Ahmadi area for the possession of hashish. He was referred to Drug Prosecution.
20 arrested: About 20 residency law violators have been arrested by security operatives in Farwaniya and referred to the relevant authority.
Security sources noted the campaign will continue over an indeterminate period to arrest all violators of law.
