University owner, ex-top officer, running ‘sex-booster’ business Students party to crime for handsome commissions
KUWAIT CITY, Nov 12: A former senior police officer, in collaboration with the owner of a foreign university, is allegedly using part of a school building in Salmiya to manufacture medicines that boost sexual vigor, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The school is rented to the American owner of the university who is a chemical engineer and an expert in making counterfeit medicines. According to the daily, the school laboratory is being used for the illegal activity and both partners are earning huge profits from the trade. Students in the university are allegedly marketing the medicine and are earning high commissions.
Policemen probed: Authorities in the Interior Ministry are interrogating a traffic police officer and a patrolman for causing the death of a Kuwaiti youth, reports Al-Rai daily.
The two police officers were chasing a reckless motorist who was driving a sports car on the Al-Maghrib Expressway. However, when they suddenly had to reverse the vehicle, they ended up running over the victim who was riding a motorcycle. The victim died on the spot.
Drunk officer held: A police officer was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, endangering lives of others by performing stunts with his vehicle and for insulting a policeman on duty, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Policemen rushed to a place in Faiha after the Operations Department of the Interior Ministry received information about a person performing daredevil stunts with his sports car.
A first lieutenant, who asked the reckless motorist to show his ID, was shocked on learning that he was a captain. He then asked the latter to stop performing stunts, but the captain kept abusing the first lieutenant. On smelling alcohol in the captain’s breath, the first lieutenant called for back up support which rushed to the place and referred the drunk captain to authorities.
Wanted expat nabbed: Police arrested an Arab expatriate who was wanted by law for 18 crimes and referred him to the Sentences Enforcement Department, reports Al-Qabas daily.
The expatriate was standing in front of a building in Farwaniya and attempted to escape on foot when police approached. However, he was chased and arrested.
