Phones snatched at knife-point Young man, girl held for doing drugs

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 10: Police arrested a young man and a girl for consuming drugs and recovered a piece of hashish from them in Salmiya area. They were referred to authorities for further action.

Phones snatched: Police are looking for two thieves who stole KD 150 and cell phones from two Asian expatriates at knife-point while they were walking in Farwaniya area. The victims had filed a report at Farwaniya Police Station and said the thieves were wearing tracksuits.

Officer beaten: A Kuwaiti motorist was arrested for abusing, beating and threatening a first leutenant when the latter stopped him for traffic violation in Faiha area. The Kuwaiti, who was under the influence of liquor, claimed that he was a captain in the Interior Ministry. A case was registered against him.

Unknown lingo: Police arrested three men for consuming alcohol in Salmiya area and referred them to authorities for further action.
Also, another youth was found in an inebriated condition in Zour area. He reportedly started talking to securitymen in an unknown language. The youth was referred to authorities.

Youth hurt in fight: A youth was injured in a fist fight that broke out among 10 youngsters in a well-known shopping complex in Capital governorate. Paramedics rushed the injured youth to hospital.
The youngsters were reportedly settling scores over an old dispute.

Camp looted: A Kuwaiti man filed a report at a police station in Jahra, saying thieves stole all his belongings from his camping tent in the area. Police are investigating the case.
