Kuwaiti woman throws burning charcoal on waiter

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 10: Police have arrested a young Kuwaiti woman for throwing burning charcoal in the face of a waiter. The incident happened inside a well-known cafe in Salmiya, reports Al-Shahed daily.
Acting on information police rushed to the spot and arrested the woman. She has been detained at the area police station.
The waiter has filed a complaint against the woman and submitted a medical report showing burns on his face.
The woman, during interrogation said, she lost her temper because the waiter delayed in giving her shisha.

Six caught gambling: The Director of Security of the Ahmadi governorate has arrested six expatriates for gambling, reports Al-Anba daily.
The daily added police acting on information raided an apartment in Mahboula and took the men in custody and seized from them KD 640.
During interrogation police discovered the owner of the apartment was offering the facility on weekends and holidays in return for money. The men have been handed over to the concerned authorities.

ATM thief sought: The Farwaniya police are looking for a burglar who allegedly broke into the car of a Kuwaiti man and stole KD 1,700 cash and an ATM card, reports Al-Rai daily.
The man is said to have then withdrawn KD 2,000 cash using the card and made purchases worth KD 1,900.
Police have requested a bank branch, from where the money was withdrawn to see the CCTV camera footage to arrest the thief.

Tantrums of artiste: A prominent Kuwaiti artiste allegedly beat an Asian driver after someone told her he had hit her aged father while crossing a road in the Shuwaikh Industrial Area, reports Al-Mustaqbal daily.
A police source when the artiste heard about the accident, she went to the site of the accident, argued with the driver and beat and kicked him causing him serious injuries.
Police referred the driver and the artiste to a police station and dropped the case against driver after knowing that the father only sustained bruises.
The daily did not give more details.

40 illegals held: The Jahra police during an intense crackdown against violators of law have arrested 40 expatriates for violating residence law, reports Al-Rai daily.
During the campaign police are said to have impounded 30 vehicles which are believed to be not road worthy.

Wife punched in row: An unidentified expatriate woman has filed a complaint with the police accusing her husband of punching her in the nose and causing her serious injury, reports Al-Anba daily.
In her complaint the woman said her husband got annoyed because she requested him to buy sheep for animal sacrifice during the Eid Al-Adha festival.
A case has been registered at the police station. The man has been summoned for interrogation.
