Kuwaiti Couple harassed, beaten by juveniles Filipina salesgirl foils rape attempt

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 9: Police are looking for an Arab man for attempting to rape a Filipino saleswoman working for a shop selling perfumes, reports Al-Anba daily.
According to the complainant the man came to the shop when she was about to call it a day. The man pleaded and said he wanted to buy a bottle of perfume.
She added after she allowed him in, he closed the door behind him and attempted to rape her.
She added she screamed for help and the man opened the door and escaped. Police have requested to see the CCTV camera which is installed in the shop in an attempt to arrest the man.

Co-worker molested: Police are looking for an Arab expatriate for molesting a female Filipino co-worker and attempting to force her have sex with him, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
A police source said the complainant works for a trading company and in her complaint to the Farwaniya Police Station she said the suspect kept harassing her from time to time and even offered her money on several occasions in an attempt to have sex with him.
She also said at all times she ignored the man but he kept pestering her.

‘Alert’ at Arifjan: The Farwaniya police patrols were placed on a state of alert following news reports about the ‘disappearance’ of US Army vehicles from the US Army camp in Arifjan, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The daily added the Ministry of Interior also erected checkpoints at various vital locations to ensure the vehicles did not fall in wrong hands.
However, it was later discovered some Muslims working at the camp had used the vehicles to go to the mosques for perform prayers.

Couple harassed, beaten: Police have arrested seven juveniles for beating a Kuwaiti man and his wife in a public place, reports Al-Rai daily.
A security source said the juveniles harassed the wife and when the husband interfered and came to the defense of his wife, they attacked him. The daily added the suspects were arrested by the police who were present at the location to maintain law and order. The suspects have been detained at the Salmiya Police Station.

Drugs by chance: Police have arrested two men — a Syrian and an Iranian — for possessing drugs and narcotic pills, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to security sources a police patrol in Farwaniya stopped the men for driving a car which had many dents — traces of accidents.
When a police officer walked to the man behind the wheel and asked to see the driving licence and the car registration document, the man in the passenger seat looked nervous.
When he reached for his civil ID, he dropped something which turned out to be a piece of hashish.
Police then searched the car and found 268 narcotic pills.

Rotten food seized:
Personnel from the Farwaniya Municipality during a crackdown on street vendors are said to have confiscated 15 truckloads of spoiled fish, fruits and vegetables believed to be unfit for human consumption, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The daily added the fish itself weighed 1,500 kilos. The raid was conducted in Abbasiya and Andalus.
