Scores of eateries shut for dirty environs ‘Temporary’ butchers fined KD 100-300
KUWAIT CITY, Nov 8: Personnel from the Kuwait Municipality, Hawalli branch, during a four-hour surprise inspection campaign against restaurants are said to have issued scores of citations for not abiding by hygiene rules, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
During the campaign the officials are said to have arrested a large number of expatriates for practicing butchery without licence. Each of them has been fined between KD 100 and KD 300.
During the campaign the officials have also shut down many restaurants for committing serious violations.
During the same campaign the Kuwaiti Municipality personnel are said to have arrested a number of Asians for robbing telephone lines.
