KUWAIT CITY, Nov 8: Police have arrested an Asian man for allegedly having sex with a maid and stealing from her KD 300, reports Al-Rai daily.
A police source said the arrest came when the maid’s sponsor informed the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior that the Asian broke into the house when the family was out, threatened to stab the maid with a knife if she raised an alarm, had sex with her and escaped with her money.
However, during interrogation the maid admitted to knowing the man and provided information about him.
The suspect was caught in Amghara. The maid and the man have been detained for interrogation.

Woman kicks policeman: Police have arrested a young Lebanese woman for and five male compatriots for resisting police, reports Al-Anba daily.
A security source said the six persons were involved in a fight with other visitors at the Hawalli Entertainment Park and police rushed to the spot when someone telephoned the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior.
The same source said the woman kicked a policeman in the stomach and when the police tried to arrest the woman the male compatriots intervened and resisted arrest.
The policeman has been admitted to the Mubarak Al-Kabir Hospital with a deep cut on the stomach.

Diamond snatched: Police are looking for an unidentified expatriate believed to be an European for stealing a precious diamond worth KD 25,000 from a well-known jewelry shop in Hawalli, reports Al-Rai daily.
The daily added the man entered the shop and requested to see diamonds. He then selected the most precious piece and asked the salesman to pack it for him.
The suspect reportedly showed the salesman heaps of US dollar bills. He then claimed he would go to a nearby money exchange shop and return with the Kuwaiti dinars and left.
When the buyer did not turn up for a long time, the salesman became restless and opened the case to make sure the diamond was inside. To his surprise the diamond had gone.
He soon informed the police and the CCTV recording showed the thief was so quick he picked up the diamond from the case without the knowledge of the salesman and escaped.
