Alert passport officer prevents illegal exit bid Woman police officer, sister, friend detained
KUWAIT CITY, Nov 5: A passport officer at Kuwait International Airport foiled a Kuwaiti woman police officer’s attempt to help her sister and friend travel to Bahrain without getting their passports stamped, reports Al-Rai daily.
The passport officer noticed two girls, who were accompanied by a policeman, skipping the passport desk and stopped them. The policeman told the officer that he was ordered by the woman officer, a 1st lieutenant, to skip the passport desk and go directly to the plane.
The woman officer had initially refused to hand over the passports of the two girls. But orders were given to allow the two girls, one of whom is the sister of the woman officer, to travel but after following all formal procedures.
A report on the incident was sent to the State Security and to the undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior.
