Kuwaiti caught robbing expats
KUWAIT CITY, Nov 3: The Salmiya police have arrested a Kuwaiti man for robbing expatriates, reports Al-Shahed daily.
According to reports the man was arrested by plainclothes policemen following complaints filed by the victims.
In their complaints the victims said the man wearing civilian clothes claimed to be a police officer and demanded to see the civil IDs of passersby.
He then emptied the wallets of the contents and returned them back to the victims. When someone informed the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior, police set a trap for him and caught him red-handed. He has been handed over to the authorities.
Meanwhile, the Hawalli police have arrested an Asian man for entering the country on forged passport, reports Al-Rai daily.
The suspect was arrested after an unidentified person informed the police. According to police the man had been deported from the country on two occasions for manufacturing alcohol.
Police have seized from the man the forged passport and referred him for interrogation.
In another incident, police are looking for two youths driving an American vehicle for beating an Asian man and stealing his money, reports Al-Rai daily. The victim told the Fahaheel police he was walking along a road the suspects pulled over and asked the man for his ID. When he refused, they beat him and stole from him KD 200.
