Azmi calls for reducing fees for people with special needs Municipal Council sets studying plan
KUWAIT CITY, Nov 3, (KUNA): Chairman of Kuwait’s Municipal Council Zaid Al-Azmi called for financial support for people with special needs in all governmental ministries and bodies.
He suggested reducing fees by half, taking into account their financial and social circumstances, and to ease their suffering.
The Municipal Council has set a studying plan to focus on the problems and concerns of people with special needs, Al-Azmi told KUNA.
The study will tackle their suffering, trying to reach proper solutions for problems they face in governmental bodies, public institutions, hospitals or even their private residences, he added.
He called on the National Assembly to enact regulations that contribute in easing the hardships of people with special needs.
The Municipal Council is adopting a transparency and cooperation policy in solving any problems facing the development process, he stated.
Al-Azmi gave those remarks on the sidelines of the honoring celebration of the working team of World Habitat Day conference, held by the Municipal Council with the participation of Arab Towns Organization, (UN) United Nations’ Habitat Organization, Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) under the title of ‘Cities and change of climate’.
