Company says one-month notice.

I worked for a company for 20 years and now I have resigned with a 3-month notice, but the company has told me to go with a one-month notice only. Will I get the other 2 months salary?

Name withheld

Answer:
The notice-period can’t be reduced except with the consent of both the parties. If an agreement is not reached, then the party which insists on reducing the notice-period pays for the remaining part.
