KUWAIT CITY, Oct 31: Police have arrested a fellow officer and two young women for consuming alcohol, reports Al-Rai daily.
This happened when the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior received call from a motorist following a traffic accident. When a police patrol reached the spot officers found a Kuwaiti youth fighting with a compatriot over the traffic accident.
Police asked the youth to show his ID and discovered he was a police officer. Police also got the smell of alcohol from his mouth. The two women riding in the car of the officer were also drunk.
Following this the suspect picked up a fight with the patrolmen. However, he was controlled and handed over to the authorities.
The women were taken to the Criminal Evidences Department for a blood test.

Bus driver stabbed: Police are looking for four unidentified persons for stabbing a bus driver and stealing his money, reports Alam Alyawm daily. The driver was rushed to a hospital and had to undergo a surgery.
The daily did not say whether the vehicle was a public transport or a private bus.

Extra for me: A Kuwaiti woman has filed a complaint with the police accusing an Arab representative of her real estate company of collecting KD 20 extra from each tenant without her knowledge and keeping the money for himself, reports Al-Rai daily.
When the man was summoned by the police, he denied the accusation. He said he collected the money with full knowledge of the complainant. He said the extra money he collected was for him and this was verbally agreed upon between him and the land lady.
A case of fraud has been registered against the man.

Suicide averted: Acting on information police rushed to a house in Al-Qosour and saved the life of a 31-year-old Kuwaiti who was threatening to slit his throat in an attempt to end his life, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Acting on information police and paramedics rushed to the house and tried in vain to convince the man to give up the idea.
As he put the knife to his throat an officer acted quickly and grabbed the man’s hand in which he was holding the knife.
The man injured himself in the neck and he was rushed to the Adan Hospital for treatment. He is recuperating under police guard.
The daily added according to available information the man is suffering from psychological problems and is involved in a dispute with his family.
