Injured Libyans arrive in Kuwait for treatment
KUWAIT CITY, Oct 30, (KUNA): A Kuwaiti Air Force plane arrived at Abdullah Al-Mubarak Airbase on Sunday carrying a number of injured Libyans for medical treatment at Kuwaiti hospitals, Ministry of Defense said in statement.
This step comes as a part of the humanitarian initiative of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait and the Supreme Commander for the Armed Forces Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, said the statement, adding that it is also part of the continuous support of Kuwait to the brotherly Libyan people.
Assistant commander of the Kuwait Air Force Air Commodore Sultan Khamis Al-Farhan, a number of Air Force officers, the Kuwaiti Red Crescent Society, public relation officers and medical emergency teams from the Ministry of Health were in reception for the injured Libyans, who are in need of specialized care, and therefore were transported immediately to hospitals.
