Ploy to harass women Five people stabbed in clash at beach
KUWAIT CITY, Oct 28: Young and reckless motorists are said to be indulging in a shameless phenomenon: they write their phone numbers and e-mail addresses on the back bumper of their vehicle just below the number plate, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The daily says this phenomenon has spread in many areas of Kuwait and has been used as a ploy by young motorists to molest women in violation of traffic laws and ethics.
The question is: Can such behavior be tolerated in our conservative society or have we become victims of the general innovations of globalization? How far are efforts being made by our traffic policemen to protect our society or is the behavior looked upon as a kind of prerogative?
We hope the concerned authorities will restore moral discipline in our society.
