Husband tries to rape his wife Gold jewellery, laptops stolen; maid attempts suicide
KUWAIT CITY, Oct 28: A Pakistani man has filed a complaint with the Hawalli Police Station accusing unidentified persons of breaking into his home and stealing gold jewelry — four bracelets, one ring worth KD 1,000, in addition to three laptop computers and a hard-disk, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The man said the suspects entered his apartment through a window. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints.
Husband in ‘rape’ bid: A woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, has filed a complaint with the police accusing her husband of beating her and attempting to ‘rape’ her when no one was in the house, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The wife added when she screamed for help, the husband backed down and left the house. However, when the police summoned the husband for interrogation he denied the allegation. The interrogation is continuing.
Maid attempts suicide: An unidentified Ethiopian maid who tried in vain to end her life by consuming a large dose of chemicals was rushed to the intensive care unit of the Adan Hospital and given stomach wash, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to reports the sponsor found the maid in pain and soon called the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior and the latter dispatched paramedics to the house and took the maid to the hospital.
Police are waiting for the maid to recover to interrogate her on her motives to end her life.
In the meantime, a case of suicide attempt has been registered against the maid at the Al-Qurain Police Station.
KD 7,600 stolen from car: A Kuwaiti man, whose identity has not been disclosed, has filed a complaint with the police accusing an unidentified person of breaking into his car and stealing money, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
In his complaint the citizen said the theft occurred in the parking lot of a shopping mall in Salmiya.
He added the suspect escaped with KD 7,600 from his car which he wanted to deposit into a bank account.
Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprit.
