KUWAIT CITY, Oct 24: Police have arrested an Indian man for practicing magic inside his apartment in Hassawi, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The arrest came when the caretaker of a building in Hassawi saw dead chicken behind a building and when he inquired one of the neighbors; he said the birds were slaughtered by an Indian man as part of a ritual.
He also said the Indian was demanding each of his clients to bring a live chicken so that he could cast evil spirits from them. The caretaker of the building then complained to the owner of the building and the latter informed the police.
Acting on information police put the man under surveillance for some time and then sent him a plainclothes policeman and caught him in the act.
Police have seized from the man various types of items used in the trade, dried blood and feathers kept in copper pans.
The contraband and the sorcerer have been referred to the authorities.
Egyptian’s bid to smuggle drugs in meat packets foiled: Customs officers at the Kuwait International Airport recently arrested an Egyptian for the possession of six narcotic pills.
Sources revealed the officers got suspicious when they noticed the confused state of the Egyptian as he approached the Customs desk at the airport. When the officers inspected him, they found nothing but when they looked into the contents of his luggage, they discovered six narcotic pills hidden in a package of one kilogram of frozen meat. He was referred to the concerned security department for the necessary legal action.
Meanwhile, Director General of the Customs Department at the airport Ibrahim Al-Ghanim praised the officers for their vigilance, which led to the discovery of the narcotic pills in the Egyptian’s luggage.
Account hacked: A Kuwaiti woman has filed a complaint with the Sabah Al-Nasser Police Station accusing an unidentified person of hacking her bank account and buying prepaid telephone cards worth KD 200 via the Internet, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. Police are looking for the thief.
Child drinks kerosene: A three-year-old Kuwaiti child has been admitted to the intensive care unit of the Jahra Hospital, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. According to hospital sources the child was left alone and he drank a large quantity of kerosene. A case of negligence has been registered against the parents.
