Police arrest Asian man in possession of marijuana seeds Wrist watch worth KD 900 stolen from shop; two held for bootlegging
KUWAIT CITY, Oct 21: The Ahmadi police have arrested an unidentified Asian man for possessing marijuana seeds, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to reports the suspect was walking along a road in Mahboula. He had a bag in hand and when he saw police patrol pass by, he appeared nervous.
Police stopped the vehicle and asked the man for his ID. Then the police asked him what he was carrying in the bag and the latter fumbled with a reply.
When police checked the bag they found some kind of seeds. They detained him at a police station until the results came from the lab pertaining to the seeds. A report showed the seeds were marijuana. The man has been referred to the General Department for Drug Control.
Expensive watch stolen: Police are looking for an unidentified person for stealing an expensive wrist watch believed to be worth KD 900 from a shop in Ahmadi, reports Al-Anba daily.
In his complaint to the police the man said the suspect made him believe that he hails from a well-known family and even produced a forged ID and escaped with the watch.
2 bootleggers arrested: The Hawalli police have arrested two Asian for bootlegging, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to security sources the men were arrested on suspicion near a building in Hawalli. When police asked the men what they were doing in the area, they could not give proper reply.
The police then arrested them and took them to a police station where they admitted to trading in booze.
Later they took police to the place where they had hidden 22 bottles of locally manufactured booze.
The booze and the men have been referred to the authorities.
