Visit visa for Moter-in-law ( banned nationals)
This is about the news that appeared in the Arab Times that the Director General of Immigration Department had lifted a ban on the issuance of visit visas for the first-degree relatives of expatriates from the ‘six countries’.
My question, based on this development, is that can a working male (a national of one of the six nationalities) apply for visit visa for his mother-in-law (his second degree relative), if his wife is a dependent resident in Kuwait?
Name withheld
Answer: No, you can’t. The visit visas have been opened for the immediate family or in other words first degree relatives of the person who will sponsor them and not the first-degree relatives of the spouse.
