KUWAIT CITY, Oct 20: The Ahmadi police have arrested an Asian man for trafficking in locally-manufactured booze, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The daily quoting security sources said the suspect looked confused when he saw a police vehicle when he waited at the red traffic light.
The patrol asked the man to pull over and when he checked the vehicle he found 38 bottles of local booze in the car booth.
Meanwhile, the Jahra police have arrested a Bangladeshi man for trafficking in alcohol, reports Al-Anba daily.
The suspect was caught red-handed while selling the alcohol to a compatriot. Police have seized from him two bottles of alcohol and referred him and the alcohol to the authorities.

Gutter covers stolen:  Police have arrested two Asians for stealing manhole covers, reports Alam Alyawm daily.
According to reports the men were arrested while they were on their way to sell the covers at the Amghara Scrapyard by a police patrol affiliated to the Mubarak Al-Kabeer governorate.
One of the Asians tried in vain to escape. He was chased and arrested by police. Police sources say both men are employed by an unidentified company and they used the company’s vehicle to transport the covers to Amghara. They have been referred to the authorities.

‘Pills seized’: The Hawalli police have arrested an unidentified Kuwaiti woman believed to be in her 20s for possessing 50 drug pills, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to reports the woman was ordered to pull over for reckless driving and when an officer walked to the woman behind the wheel he discovered her behavior was abnormal.
He then inspected the vehicle and found 50 drug pills.

Bulgarian nabbed: The Ahmadi police have arrested an unidentified Bulgarian citizen for drinking alcohol in a public place, reports Al-Rai daily.
The suspect was arrested for violating traffic law and while issuing a citation police discovered he was under the influence of alcohol.
The man has been referred to the Shuaiba Police Station.
