KUWAIT CITY, Oct 20: A 28-year-old Indonesian maid hanged herself to death in a cell in Ahmadi Police Station. The woman was arrested based on an absconding case filed against her.
She reportedly hanged herself using her scarf. Sources say securitymen tried to rescue her, but failed. Her remains have been referred to Forensics and investigations are going on. A case was registered.

Gamblers held:  Five Asians were arrested for gambling in Capital governorate. Securitymen seized gambling equipment and money from the Asians and referred them to authorities.

Too many drugs: Police rescued a youth who took an overdose of drugs in Mubarak Al-Kabeer area. Policemen found the youth in a very unstable state and called an ambulance to take him to hospital. Action will be taken against him after his recovery.

Youth stabbed: A youngster was stabbed several times in a vicious fight that broke out among a group of youths in Sabah Al-Nasser area. He is currently in the Intensive Care Unit of Farwaniya Hospital.
In a separate incident, two youths got into a fistfight and caused injuries to one another. Sources say the families of both youths also got involved in the fight. A case was registered and investigations are going on to find the cause of the fight.

Bangladeshi beaten: A Bangladeshi man who picked up a quarrel with an Egyptian man was severely beaten by the latter.
According to reports the fight took place at a vegetable shop. The Egyptian reportedly beat the Bangladeshi and escaped from the scene before the police arrived.
The Bangladeshi has been admitted to the Farwaniya Hospital with injuries to the face. Police are looking for the suspect.
