Forty-five days ago I resigned from my current job and my manager agreed that I can leave  within 45 days but after 45 days he refuses to accept my resignation and says I must work for the whole 3-month notice period.
Someone told me that  I can use the option to resign immediately and I will have to pay for the incompleted part of the notice period. Is this true?

Answer: Well, it was true until last week when, after complaints by employers, the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor issued a decision stating that no residence will be transferred until the 3-month notice has been completed. This is for all those expatriates whose companies refuse to release them from this obligation of giving a 3-month notice.
