Residence To Expire After A Month

I will take my Christmas vacation in Canada from Dec 16, 2011 and will return to Kuwait on Jan 13, 2012. My residence permit will expire on Feb 29, 2012. I would like to know if there will be any problem with the Kuwait Immigration on my return since my residence will expire 1 month after my return to Kuwait.

Name withheld

Answer:
You will not face any problems at the Immigration as long as you enter the country before your residence expires — it doesn’t matter a few hours or a few days before the expiry date.
No one at the Immigration will  stop you but you will have to pay a fine of KD2 per day if you renew the residence after it expires.
The main thing here is: enter the country before your residence expires. If you are late by even one second, the computer will automatically cancel your residence.
