KUWAIT CITY, Oct 18:  Police are looking for an unidentified person for attempting to rape 21-year-old Kuwaiti woman, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
In her complaint to the Salwa Police Station the woman said the person claimed to be an air-condition technician and seeing the woman alone in the house, he attempted to have sex with her.
She added, she screamed for help and the man took to his heels.

KD 1,000 in bra: Police from the Capital governorate have arrested four women for begging for alms and referred them to the authorities, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
It has been reported one of the beggars had four cell phones and KD 1,000 hidden under her bra.

Mother beaten for cash: Police are looking for a youth of beating his mother and stealing from her KD 6,000, reports Al-Rai daily.
The mother has filed a complaint with the Farwaniya police.

‘Woman was beaten’ : The Ja’afari Section of the Court of Appeals overruled a lower court’s decision that established a woman was disobedient to her husband and revoked her right to marital expenses and ordered a refund of previous expenses.
Counsel for the appellant argued that his client presented enough proof she was maltreated and beaten by her husband in front of family members, and presented a medical report to back the allegation. He explained that his client didn’t leave her matrimonial home freely, indicating she was compelled to do so because of incessant harassment. Also, his client disobeyed the verdict of First Instance Court by returning to her matrimonial home, but the husband declined to complement the ruling and kept beating his wife, the attorney explained.

Spoilt chicken in co-op: Hawalli branch of the Kuwait Municipality is said to have issued a citation against a cooperative society for selling foodstuffs unfit for human consumption, reports Al-Anba daily quoting sources.
The sources added laboratory tests have showed the 1,000 grams chicken (local produce) which is distributed to the citizens as subsidized food product has C1 type salmonella.
