Arab butcher threatens to stab Asian in row over meat source

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 16: An Asian man, whose identity has not been disclosed, has filed a complaint with the Salmiya Police Station accusing an Arab butcher of fraud and threatening to stab him with a butcher’s knife, reports Al-Anba daily.
The Asian said he bought 4 kilos of Arab mutton and when he went home he discovered it was Australian meat.
When the Asian went to return the meat the butcher threatened to stab him. However, the butcher claims he sold the Arab meat and added he can prove it.

Teens hit officer: Police have arrested six teenagers and are looking for about 26 others for attacking a patrolman and damaging a police vehicle, reports Al-Rai daily.
The incident happened when the patrolmen were dispatched to Wafra following information that some youths were planning to hold races and were making stunts with their vehicles.
The youths chased the police patrol, damaged the police vehicle and were about to attack the policeman when reinforcements arrived.
The daily added police fired in the air to disperse the youths. Police managed to arrest six troublemakers but the others managed to escape.

Indian held drunk: Police have arrested a 40-year-old Indian for consuming alcohol, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The daily quoting security sources said police acting on information that the man was vandalizing vehicles in the area rushed to Hassawi and arrested the man.
At the time of arrest the Indian was high on alcohol.

Damages sought: A Kuwaiti man is demanding KD 5,000 from a garage owner in Jahra for damaging his car, reports Al-Anba daily.
According to reports the Kuwaiti had given his car for repairs and a welding spark reportedly set fire to the car. The man has offered to pay KD 1,500 but the man is refusing the offer.

Dogs on beach: A group of youths reportedly spread panic for three hours among beachgoers near a well-known commercial complex in Sharq, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The youths reportedly arrived at the beach with dogs and threatened to let them loose at the people. The dogs began barking at the people and some of them left the place for fear of dog attacks.
In spite of calls to the police, no securitymen were seen in the area.
