Saudi stabs restaurant worker Drugs in shoes
KUWAIT CITY, Oct 16: Police have arrested a Saudi man for stabbing an Egyptian worker inside a restaurant in Mubarakiya, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The daily quoting security sources said the incident happened when the Saudi discovered the man did not serve what he had ordered for. This led to an argument and the worker reportedly threw laban on the man and the latter stabbed him with a knife.
The worker has been admitted to a hospital and the Saudi to a police station.
Meanwhile, police are looking for four unidentified youths for assaulting and stabbing an unidentified youth during a fight. The incident happened in Al-Nahdha, reports Al-Rai daily.
Pakistani assaulted: Police have arrested two Kuwaitis for assaulting a Pakistani man inside the Sharq mall, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
A police source said the Pakistani got annoyed when the Kuwaitis started harassing his daughter. The Kuwaitis reacted by beating the man and injuring him in the head.
The Pakistani has been admitted to the Amiri Hospital. The Kuwaitis have been referred to the authorities.
Drugs in shoes : Customs officials at the airport foiled an attempt by one Egyptian arriving from Cairo via Kuwait Airways to smuggle 500 grams of hashish and additional 500 narcotic pills into the country.
The suspect had reportedly kept the contraband carefully hidden in his shoes when Customs men found them.
He was referred with the illicit drugs to the Directorate General of Drug Control.
