Man beats dad, tries to kidnap daughter Asian duo held with marijuana, seeds
KUWAIT CITY, Oct 12: An Arab man, whose identity has not been disclosed, has filed a complaint with the police accusing an unidentified person of assaulting him and attempting to kidnap his daughter, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The police are looking for the suspect based on the description provided by the complainant.
Asian duo held with marijuana, seeds : A jobless Asian expatriate and his compatriot were arrested by anti-narcotics men in Abu Halifa with a quarter kilogram of marijuana seeds for cultivation and additional half kilogram of marijuana for trafficking purpose. This follows information the concerned department received about the drug peddling activities of the first suspect.
Security sources said the first suspect was placed under observation until detectives raided his apartment in Abu Halifa and confiscated a quarter kilogram of marijuana. He confessed to trading in narcotics and named his accomplice as a compatriot working as a security guard inside a building in the same area. The first suspect led securitymen to the second suspect’s accommodation where another quarter kilogram of the contraband ready for sale was impounded, with another kilogram of marijuana seeds.
During interrogation, a third suspect said to have supplied the drug was named. Investigation is in progress to arrest him. In the meantime, the two suspects have been referred to the Public Prosecution.
Police flasher: Police have arrested an unidentified juvenile for using the police flasher on his car, reports Al-Rai daily.
The suspect was caught in Salmiya. During interrogation the suspect admitted to stealing the flasher from his brother who works for an investigation department.
He has been referred to the authorities.
Pakistani robbed: A 40-year-old Pakistani has filed a complaint with the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh police accusing four unidentified persons of assaulting him and stealing his wallet containing an unidentified sum of money, reports Alam Alyawm daily. In his complaint the man, who has a deep cut on his head, said the suspects attacked him while he was walking along a road. Police are looking for the suspects.
