 Bananas are rich in vitamins and minerals, and contain triptophan, a natural relaxant. Did you know that banana flesh helps soften and soothe the skin. It is also used to correct dryness and scaling of the skin.
Banana Balm: Mash 1/2 fresh banana to a creamy pulp. Warm 1 tsp honey and 1 tbsp heavy whipping cream in a microwave for about 15 seconds. Stir to combine, then add to the banana pulp. Add 1 tbsp oats and 1 drop essential oil and stir again. Massage over dampened skin using gentle, sweeping motions. Allow the balm to remain on your skin for a few minutes. Rinse well and follow with a light application of extra virgin olive oil or your favorite moisturizer to soothe and prevent moisture loss.
