On trying to get a work permit from the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, the company which is trying to give me a job found my name still on the ministry files and their application was rejected. What can be done? I was in Kuwait for a number of years before I left the country. Now I am trying to get back to Kuwait.

Answer: The reason your company’s application was rejected is because your previous work permit was never cancelled although your residence was cancelled by the Immigration Dept. This is the fault of your previous company.
Now it is a simple procedure to get rid of the obstacle. Approach your previous company and ask them to get your work permit cancelled. The company representative can do it by approaching the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor. Now that everything is ‘electronic’ this can be done from your previous company’s office.
