Indian mechanic beaten, robbed

An Indian man, whose identity has not been disclosed, has filed a complaint with the Shuwaikh Industrial Area Police Station accusing an Arab man of beating him and refusing to pay money for work done on his car and stealing his money and cell phone, reports Al-Anba daily.
In his complaint the victim said he works for a garage in the Shuwaikh Industrial Area and the suspect refused to pay KD 40 — the cost of labor and the parts replaced in the car.
The victim said when he produced the invoice, the man asked the worker to get into the car under the pretext of going to a bank to withdraw the money.
However, when he reached an open area on the Fifth Ring Road, he pulled over. Ordered the Indian to get out of the car and beat him. He then stole his cell phone and the money and drove off.
The victim has provided police with the details of the suspect and his car.

Flat mate blamed: Three Egyptian expatriates accused a compatriot and flat mate of stealing KD 150 from their apartment in Khaitan area. A case was registered against the suspect, and police steps are being taken to invite him for investigation.
