Police hunt three youths for abducting couple in Salmiya ‘Deport juvenile’; Kuwaitis freed

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 5: Police are looking for three unidentified youths who allegedly forced an Arab couple driving along the Restaurants Street in Salmiya to pull over, ordered them to get into their vehicle against their will and drove off, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to a security source the suspects were chasing the couple for unknown reasons. When police reached the spot the engine of the victims’ car was still running.
Seeing the commotion an unidentified Arab woman noted down the car plate number of the alleged kidnappers and informed the police.

Kuwaitis freed:
The Bosnian security authorities are said to have released the Kuwait basketball national team members and the delegation accompanying them upon a court verdict. However, the court is said to have fined the Kuwaitis 500 euros, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The daily added the team and the delegation members were arrested and their passports had been seized following a fight between the Kuwaitis and members of another team during a training camp.

‘Deport juvenile’:
The Criminal Investigation Department has received orders from the concerned authorities to deport the 11-year-old Iranian who was caught red-handed while breaking into a car in front of a commercial complex at an unidentified location, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
During interrogations the juvenile thief had admitted to breaking into several cars using duplicate keys and what he called ‘a master key’.

Port staff held
: Four employees of the Ahmadi Port have been referred to the State Security department for interrogation, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to security sources the men were arrested by personnel from the Establishments Security Department because they had installed cameras and Global Positioning System (GPS) devices in their cars. One of those arrested is believed to be a senior port official.

7 held drunk: The Ahmadi police have arrested seven young Kuwaitis for drinking alcohol and causing inconvenience to shoppers in the Ahmadi commercial area, reports Alam Alyawm daily.
The daily added the police have arrested three more Kuwaitis for drinking alcohol. They were caught at a police check point in Wafra.
Police are also said to have seized from the men a bottle of whisky and referred them and the booze to the concerned authorities.

Police imposter: Police have arrested a Kuwaiti man for impersonating police and robbing Asians. The man was taken into custody in Rumaithiya, reports Al-Qabas daily.
The daily added the suspect was caught red-handed while attempting to steal a cell phone from an unidentified Asian man.
Police records show the impersonator is a criminal and a drug addict. He was wanted by law in several cases. He has been handed over to the Public Prosecution.
