Police imposters robbing Asians ‘Unstable’ lady creates chaos at Info office

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 4: A lady working at the Ministry of Information threatened to commit suicide inside the office of the Assistant Undersecretary for Finance and Management Affairs, as she demanded a KD 10,000 compensation and a chance for admission to the university.
The lady is believed to be psychologically unstable and had gone to the assistant undersecretary’s office at the sixth floor of the ministry’s building holding a glass, and threatened to cut her arteries if her demands were not met. She is said to have damaged many files, splashed coffee and water on people that approached her, and threw other documents from the sixth floor.
Following 5 hours of negotiations with the senior ministry officials, a colleague Wala Awad managed to convince the lady to leave the office, and later posted on Twitter that she convinced the lady to leave the office. She also said an elder from Salhiya and the director of the office of the assistant undersecretary had accompanied the lady while she drove her home.
Wala Awad believes the lady suffers serious psychological disorder, based on odd behavior she portrayed. The lady had reportedly started screaming when she first saw Wala Awad and said “I do not want any injection”. Later, she became calm when she discovered that Awad was just a colleague from the News Section of Ministry of Information.

Police imposters robbing Asians: The Sulaibiya police have arrested two persons - a citizen of an unidentified GCC state and a bedoun - for impersonating police and robbing Asians, reports Al-Rai daily.
The arrest came following a complaint filed by an Asian woman accusing two men of demanding to see her ID and stealing her jewelry.
In her complaint the woman said she was walking along a road and a car pulled over and one of the men said he is police and ordered her to show her ID. The men then robbed her gold and escaped.
The woman noted the car plate number and complained to the police. When police arrested the car owner he turned out to be one of the thieves - an unemployed GCC citizen. During interrogation the man admitted to the charge and later led police to his partner.
The police then summoned the Asian woman and she picked the duo from a police lineup.
The men have admitted to committing six crimes. They have been referred to the authorities.

Supervisors at port caught smuggling liquor: Customs officers at the Shuwaikh Port have arrested two Kuwaiti employees of the port, believed to be in their 40s, for smuggling whisky into the country, reports Al-Rai daily.
The daily quoting reliable sources said police acting on a tip-off put the suspects under surveillance and caught them red-handed in possession of 12 bottles of whisky. The booze was hidden in their life jackets.
According to a knowledgeable source both men worked as supervisors of vessels docking at the port. They have admitted to smuggling 200 bottles each every month.
Meanwhile, Saudi customs officers at the Al-Riqei border post have arrested a Kuwaiti man for attempting to smuggle 360,000 rounds of ammunition into the kingdom, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The Kuwaiti has been referred to the concerned authorities in Saudi Arabia.

Iraqi held
: Security guards at the Sulaibikhat Cooperative Society have arrested an Iraqi man, employee of an institute in Adailiya, for shoplifting, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The man was caught for stealing cigarettes. He has been referred to a police station.
