Man thrown to death in drunken Salmiya brawl

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 1: A 27-year old Kuwaiti died when a drunken military man threw him from the fifth floor of a building in Salmiya Saturday morning.
According to a security report, the victim engaged the suspect in a quarrel inside an apartment, which escalated into a bloody fight. The report added that securitymen were checking the status of a woman nearby when they heard the victim’s cries, so they rushed to the scene and found the suspect with three other men and a woman arguing over the incident. The officers discovered the remains of the citizen and took the suspect, with other people inside the apartment, into custody. The corpse has since been taken to Forensics for autopsy.

Royals abused
: Police arrested a 29-year-old individual for driving under the influence of alcohol and abusing some members of the royal family, reports Al-Anba daily.
The man is said to be working in a sensitive military department.
Police arrested the drunk after he skipped a red signal in Salmiya.
He had initially refused to pull over, but was eventually forced to stop.
The drunkard attempted to attack policemen and even broke a mirror in the washroom at the police station.
Police reported the incident to the State Security Department.

Policemen beaten: Police are looking for a group of motorcyclists who allegedly beat up two policemen, reports Al-Rai daily.
A police source said two patrolmen stopped a motorcyclist for violating a traffic law.
The motorcyclist soon called his friends who came in a group and beat up the patrolmen.
Police succeeded in arresting one of them and are looking for others.
